Our aim is to enable each child to achieve his or her potential by providing a curriculum that is broad, balanced and differentiated.

The unique talents of each child are identified and developed, whether they be in the classroom, in the creative arts or on the sports field. Our weekly Enrichment offer allows students to explore a range of activities to promote their personal development during their timetabled lessons.

We promote respect, kindness, courtesy and consideration of others. This is a very caring school where all children are known individually. We believe passionately that positive mental health and wellbeing promotes the best learning. As such, our PSHE curriculum is tailored to each year group and our pastoral team are integral to its delivery.

We are committed to small class sizes throughout the school. Classes are large enough to encourage discussions and a lively atmosphere, but small enough to ensure every child is noticed and listened to. Academic progress is tracked closely and reviewed regularly to ensure students are achieving their potential. Students mature confidently in a secure environment, where they are encouraged to take risks, ask questions and have ownership over their learning.

In Years 7 and 8 students are given the opportunity to experience a wide range of subjects in preparation for their Option Choices which take place at the end of Year 8. In Year 9 students begin their Key Stage 4 pathways allowing for greater depth and enjoyment of their chosen subjects. We offer a wide range of subjects and qualification levels and students will sit their English and Maths qualifications at the end of Year 10. Each student is treated as an individual and encouraged on a pathway that will enable them to achieve their potential.
