Year 7 made a great start to their residential at Bell Heath, despite being greeted by some rather rainy weather. After arriving safely, students received a full safety briefing before getting stuck into their first activities of the trip. These included a number of team-building challenges designed to encourage communication, problem-solving and cooperation, such as working together to pass a friend through a spider’s web and learning how to start a fire using a striker.

The activities provided students with a brilliant opportunity to challenge themselves, try something new and work closely with their classmates. Evening activities then got underway as the first day continued, with everyone settling into residential life and making the most of the experience — even if the weather was doing its best to make things interesting!
