Under 14's Football Team Reach Semi Final
The Under 14's football team consisting of Year 8s and 9s won 4-1 against Frankley last night and are now top of the league by 5 points as well as being in the semi final of the cup (albeit without having had to play a game to get there!)
In last night's match we were 3-0 up at half time despite Frankley missing a penalty when it was still 0-0. James Bhol opened the scoring with a penalty after Brett Brown was fouled, then Jordan Clarke scored after Jacob Burnett's corner had been cleared. Brett Brown scored the 3rd after Jacob Burnett had won the ball off his full back and put in a good cross.
In the second half Brian Ali had a header cleared off the line, and later on Brett Brown scored his second goal and our fourth after being played through on goal by Brian. Frankley scored a good goal near the end to make it 4-1.
Other notable performances were Sam Taylor-Bevans and Josh Clifford in defence, and Kwadjo Appiah came on as sub and had a big impact.
