Exam Results 2016
St George’s School can report another excellent set of GCSE and A-Level results for 2016, again set in a context where many schools within the city and across the country experienced a dip in student attainment and achievement.
A Level (A2): 100% of students passed with an A-E grade, with 34% of these being A-B grades.
Nearly all of our Year 13 students who applied through UCAS obtained the University place of their choice.
Year 11 GCSE: Overall 81% of Year 11 students gained 5 or more A*-C grades at GCSE.
79% of students achieved 5 or more A*-C grades including English and Mathematics.
Over 50% of the results of all entries at GCSE were A*/ A or B grades.
The school achieved a 99.8% pass rate, with virtually all students achieving 5 or more A*-G grades.
Maths achieved 85% A*-C and English 84% A*-C grades respectively.
The school had over 80% A*-C passes in Mathematics, English Language and English Literature, Biology, Chemistry , Physics, French (100%), Drama, Physical Education, Art (100%) and Photography (100%).
