Prayer Letter – Summer Term 2008
St George’s School has a Christian foundation but welcomes and includes pupils from all faiths. We invite you to support the school through prayer according to your preferred custom.
• Give thanks for the safety of Miss Passmore and nine Year 9 & 10 pupils during their trek through Morocco at Easter. They had a truly fantastic time.
• Pray for all Year 6 pupils and their families across Birmingham as they finalise which Secondary school they will join in September. Pray particularly for those children who will join St George’s Upper School.
• Pray for our students in Years 10, 11 and 6th Form as they revise for and sit public exams in May and June. Pray for their health during this stressful time and that they are able to perform to the best of their abilities, and pray particularly for our Upper 6th that they will gain the grades they need for university entrance.
• Pray for our Year 10 students’ Work Experience (23-27 June), that each will have a worthwhile and informative experience.
• Pray for our Eco-School Committee as they plan for a new garden in some wasteland at the back of school. Give thanks for those parents able to help by providing diggers, skips etc.
• Pray for the PTA and the success of their Summer Fete.
• Pray for the many trips, visits and outdoor activities that are planned for this term (see calendar), asking for the safety and enjoyment of all pupils and staff involved.
• Pray for our new team of cleaners that they will quickly feel part of our school family.
