Year 7 Rocket Day

Year 7 Rocket Day

On Wednesday 18th June 2008, Mr. Lai accompanied an eager group of Year 7 Science Club members to Kingswinford School, Dudley for an action-packed, explosive day held by the Institute of Physics.

At 9.00 am they set off in the minibus, driven by Mrs Glover, and began their day constructing and painting their very own rockets!  Mr Lai said, "They had a fantastic time making the rockets".  By lunchtime the real fun began as the children got to launch their rockets as part of a competition.  Excitement filled the air as the children watched each others rockets being launched into the sky!

The group arrived back at school at 4.00 pm, happy and elated at the exciting day held at Kingswinford  School.

The Rocket Day was organised by the Institute of Physics and Mr. Lai says, "I hope it has whetted their appetite for Science as they had lots and lots of fun and everyone had a really good time.  I hope to take another party next year".

Below are some photos of the Rocket day.
