Dedicated to the education of children up to Year 6, the Lower School of St. George’s believes that a family atmosphere and small classes enable staff to know each child’s individual needs and are vital to our pupils’ future success.
• Our youngest pupils in Kindergarten are taught using the Montessori method, using specialised Montessori equipment to develop essential reading, writing and numeracy skills alongside self-discipline, independence and initiative. The curriculum is broad and designed to promote the Government’s Early Learning Objectives.
• Traditional teaching methods are introduced during our pupil’s educational career, where early foundations are built upon with specialised teaching in certain subjects from Upper School staff.
• Extra-curricular activities such as ballet, modern dance, fencing and drama are popular options for all ages.
• Both early (from 8am) and late (up to 6pm) care facilities are offered on a regular or occasional basis, meaning that parents can be confident that their child will be looked after in a safe and welcoming environment.
